Talay’an’s New Digital Platform: Powered by Out in Tech

In a significant step forward, Talay’an, a pioneering advocacy organization for LGBTQ+ and trans sex workers in Morocco, is about to unveil its first-ever digital platform. This exciting development comes after their remarkable journey from a closed network of sex workers providing mutual aid during the COVID-19 pandemic to an officially recognized public organization committed to championing the rights and well-being of sex workers.

The new platform, set to launch on Saturday, September 16th, is built on WordPress.com, and it serves a range of vital purposes:

1. Raising Awareness: Talay’an will use the platform to educate the public about sex work as legitimate employment, challenging stereotypes and advocating for respect.

2. Advocating for Gender and Sexual Identity: The website will also raise awareness about diverse gender and sexual identities, fostering understanding and acceptance.

3. Reporting and Documenting Abuse: Importantly, it will provide a means to report and document instances of abuse against sex workers, creating a safer environment.

4. Exploring International Support: The platform will facilitate connections with international donors who share Talay’an’s vision and wish to contribute to their cause.

With gratitude in their hearts, Talay’an acknowledges the support of Out in Tech, whose Digital Corps played a pivotal role in making this digital platform a reality. It’s a simple yet powerful collaboration that will help Talay’an further its mission of empowerment and support for sex workers in Morocco.

Stay tuned for the exciting launch of this transformative website, made possible with the help of Out in Tech’s dedicated team in London.
