Areas of work

Community Empowerment and Movement Building: Our long-term aspiration is to spark a robust, diverse, and decentralized grassroots sex worker movement in Morocco.

Rights Advocacy: We advocate for sex workers to have full enjoyment of their human rights, and for their work to be respected with all of the labour rights and protections that entails. Most urgently in terms of legal and policy revendications, we demand the full decriminalization of sex work in Morocco.

Healthcare: We fight to improve sex workers’ wellbeing and access to healthcare, with a focus on sexual, reproductive, and mental services in particular. We intend to do so by sharing accessible information and resources with our community about mental health, sexual health, contraception, safer sex practices, harm reduction practices etc. We also denounce the structural barriers preventing sex workers from accessing healthcare, especially HIV prevention and treatment services.

Fighting Stigma: We create public social media content, educational resources, workshops, and programs to amplify sex worker voices, to educate people about sex worker rights and revendications, and to explicitly combat all forms of whorephobia and anti-sex worker stigma. We try to create content in Darija (Moroccan Arabic) and to promote the use of inclusive and non-stigmatizing language to speak about sex workers.

Alliance-Building: We work to build collective power through fostering networks and educating allies. And strengthen relationships with organizations who are supportive of sex worker rights ,and whose work shares intersections with ours.
